Wooden spoon or spatula
- 6 slices bacon, chopped
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 cups frozen broccoli or green beans
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped bacon and cook until crispy. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.
Add cubed chicken to the skillet. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
Add frozen vegetables to the skillet. Cover and cook for 5–7 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
Stir the cooked bacon back into the pan. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top if using and allow it to melt.
Serve immediately as-is or over rice for a complete meal.
