Ingredients

  • 6  slices bacon, chopped
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups frozen broccoli or green beans
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped bacon and cook until crispy. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.
  • Add cubed chicken to the skillet. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
  • Add frozen vegetables to the skillet. Cover and cook for 5–7 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
  • Stir the cooked bacon back into the pan. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top if using and allow it to melt.
  • Serve immediately as-is or over rice for a complete meal.
